Ronda Ruby Ceramics

Inspired by the concept of integrating the ceramic arts with functional home decor, Chicago-based artisan and designer Ronda Ruby Dibbern launched Ronda Ruby Ceramics in 2010.

An artist and potter for over ten years, Ronda Ruby recently set up her studio and focused on crafting ceramic lamps.  The transition to creating functional ceramics has allowed for a reconnection to the material and ceramic craft–physically and mentally.  The creation process is as rewarding as the creative process.  Each step from throwing, firing, glazing, wiring, and crafting the complementary lampshades is part of the evolution of crafting a finished lamp.  The process is inspired by the ceramic medium and every day materials: paper, fabric, wood and metal.  The culmination of every decision creates a unique, hand-crafted, illuminating work of art that can reflect the customer’s unique style.
